Foundation Plan — Get The Bones Right.

A coordinated financial plan for households with $500K–$3M in net worth. Tax, retirement, investments, and the basics of estate — together, in one strategy.

The Right Starting Point For Coordinated Planning.

Most households who reach $500K–$3M in net worth do it by working hard, saving consistently, and listening to good general advice. Then their life gets complex enough that general advice stops working — a second income, a bigger tax bill, a home that doubled in value, a 401(k) that suddenly matters.

Foundation Plan is the engagement designed for that transition. We build your first true coordinated plan: tax strategy, retirement direction, investment policy, basic estate documents, and the connections between them. You leave with a written plan and the operating cadence to keep it current.

Ideal Client

Foundation Plan Is Right For You If…

Your household net worth is $500K–$3M and growing.

You earn $200K+ and your tax bill keeps climbing.

You contribute to a 401(k) but have no broader retirement strategy.

You have basic estate documents — or none — and have been meaning to fix it.

You hold investments across multiple accounts with no unified plan.

You want one professional coordinating tax, investments, and estate.

What This Looks Like

A Typical Foundation Plan Engagement

Situation: A dual-income household in Bowie, MD, ages 42 and 44, with $1.4M in net worth. Two 401(k)s, a brokerage account, a 529, a starter rental property, and a will from 2015 that no longer matches their life.

What we did: Restructured 401(k) contributions to maximize match and Roth, set up a backdoor Roth strategy, modeled retirement at age 60 with three drawdown scenarios, repositioned the brokerage account around tax-loss harvesting, identified $7,200 of annual tax savings, and coordinated an estate attorney to update the will and add a revocable trust for the rental property.

Outcome: A written 12-page plan, a 12-month action list, and an annual review cadence. The household now operates with one coordinated strategy instead of four disconnected accounts.

Investment

Investment In Foundation Plan

Foundation Plan is priced as a flat planning fee, disclosed in writing before engagement and quoted directly on the fit call based on complexity.

Most engagements include the planning fee and an optional annual review retainer for ongoing coordination.

We do not earn commissions on investment recommendations. Fees only.
